Dr. Lihua Zhang received her Ph.D. in Operational Research from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2018. During 2018/08-2021/07, she did her postdoc training in the Math Department at University of California, Irvine. Now, she is a Professor in the School of Computer Science at Wuhan University.
She works on Data ming, machine learning, bioinformatics and computational biology. Her main research focuses on developing computational models and designing efficient optimization algorithms to address the challenging questions in biomedical field, particularly regarding complex diseases (e.g., cancer). Recently, she focuses on developing computational models and machine learning methods for analyzing big single-cell/spatial genomics data.
